Bowen Island Recycling Depot (“BIRD”) has been in existence for close to 20 years and is operated by volunteers. Our team of volunteers operates one of the most cost effective recycling centres in the province.
The Recycling Depot is now located on the north side of Mt. Gardner Road, opposite the Gas Station.

- Clean Styrofoam Packing Peanuts
BIRD cannot accept the following items:
- Rigid Styrofoam
- Garbage
- Film (cling wrap)
