Climate Conversation: Better Living Through Climate Leadership

Better Living Through Climate Leadership:
James Glave on the BC Energy Step Code & the Electric Vehicle Revolution

Sunday, November 5, 2017
2:00 to 3:30 PM
Municipal Hall

Communities across the province are talking about the BC Energy Step Code and getting prepared for the electric vehicle revolution.

Join James Glave and fellow Islanders for an introduction to the Energy Step Code, which local governments may now use to incentivize or require "better than code" energy efficiency performance in new homes and other buildings. You will learn about the standard's benefits, levels, and targets. What's the right Step Code level to get Bowen to Net Zero energy efficiency by 2032? Share your feedback with municipal councillors in attendance.

James will also present on trends for electric vehicles, helping you understand how this technology is spreading, what are the challenges, and what's on the horizon for the near future.
