Green Shores Workshop

Do you live on waterfront property, or have an interest in shoreline protection and ecology?

Using natural design approaches, the Green Shores method is a cost-effective, sustainable solution to erosion and flooding, and can turn freshwater or marine waterfronts into vibrant, living shorelines.

  • beautify waterfronts with native vegetation
  • make shorelines more accessible
  • increase habitat for native birds, fish and other wildlife
  • facilitate permit approvals

We invite you to join this free workshop for property owners, local government, real estate agents and others interested in shoreline protection. You will learn about basic shoreline ecosystem principles, visit shorelines to consider the concepts in a practical setting, and learn about the benefits of your shoreline being Green Shores certified.
