Volunteers needed for the Emergency Program Executive Committee

Bowen Island Municipality has recently established an Emergency Management Program (EMP) with the adoption of Bylaw No. 428, 2016.

Council is inviting members of the public to apply for a position on the Emergency Program Executive Committee. Reporting to Council, this committee will provide strategic direction and oversight to the Emergency Program Management Committee. Additional duties include:

-Finalizing and presenting an annual strategic plan and budget for the EMP to Council; and
-Approving Emergency Plans developed by the Management Committee

Skills or experience in Emergency Management would be an asset. If you are interested in joining the Committee, you may download an application form or pick up a paper copy from Municipal Hall.
