Community Involvement:
I have lived on Bowen since 2003. I am a past chair of the board and current librarian for the community choir, and a current member of the coordinating group for Bowen in Transition. I have taught Non-violent Communication at BICS, and done facilitation work for Abbeyfield.
Experience:
I am a Human Resources Manager, a certified Mediator, and an Executive Coach. I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC. I teach communication skills, and my particular area of expertise is dealing with inter-personal conflict in organizations.
Recently I was the Chair of the National Park Community Advisory Committee on Bowen. I think the skills that served me well in that role will work equally well on council. If you know one of the 30 volunteers from the NPCAC, ask them if they agree.
