I am a practicing lawyer, married to the wonderful Maryon and have two sons, two daughter-in-laws and four grandsons.  My wife and I purchased our first home on Millers Landing in 2002 and two years ago we built on Cowan Point.  An appreciation of art has been and continues to be a major part of my life.  Over the years I have been involved with, and continue to support, many arts organizations in the Lower Mainland including the Vancouver Art Gallery, Presentation House, Western Front, Contemporary Art Gallery and Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.
I am a member of the Bowen Island Golf Club (Rating-“hacker”).

CANDIDATE’S POLICIES:  BACK TO BASICS
Although I have not been involved with local politics I am very concerned with the direction that we seem to be heading on Bowen Island.  There is a serious lack of balance in our political decision making. When elected I will work hard to get our municipal finances back into shape. The sale of our surplus land to repay our reserve fund and create funds for other capital projects such as the new community center is an important first issue for the new council.  I intend to deal with the infrastructure issues such as sewer and water in and around Snug Cove, revitalization of Snug Cove, ferry marshalling and housing diversity.

Most important, we need a new route forward, less confrontation within council and staff and a more carefully managed development of our future.  Together we can build a more diverse and healthy Bowen Island.
