I have been a full-time resident of Bowen Island since 2002. During my time here, I have grown to love this community; the culture and it’s diversity. It is the goal of preserving this vibrant, creative, and caring environment that has prompted me, once again, to ask for your support in the coming election.
After my unsuccessful bid for a seat on council in 2008, I joined the board of the Bowen Community Housing Association in an effort to stay involved in municipal politics and volunteer my time for initiatives that I feel are important in maintaining the special character of this island. Sadly, my time spent at the BCHA was cut short, due to a lack of political will for any real affordable housing.
Many of you will also know me as the man behind Bowen TV. The experience I gained interviewing and listening to so many stories has given me a most unique and objective view of the many issues and challenges we face as a community.
Some of you may also know me as the man behind George’s Delivery. Then, as is the case now, I am committed to delivering what the people want in a timely manner, and making sure they are completely satisfied.
If elected, my focus will be on proper process, full transparency, support of arts and culture and community, building a sustainable local economy, affordable housing, and seniors care.
I am a proven listener and am accessible to all on a daily basis in the cove, at my office beside the BOSS. I look forward to hearing your concerns.
