Bowen Island offers residents a compelling vision of small community – friendly, active, supportive, engaged and passionate about our rural way of life set in a spectacular coastal rainforest fjord. I’m running for re-election as Municipal Councillor and election as Municipal Trustee for Islands Trust Council to support these community attributes.
Since moving here over two decades ago, Bowen Island has been a wonderful place to live and work and raise my three children. Over the years, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to delve deeply into our arts, education, and recreation communities. I’ve enjoyed my past three years on Council and I am proud of both our tangible accomplishments, as well as the improvements in the respectful and collaborative demeanor of Council and public engagement. But, there is more work to do and my experience will help ensure the next Council is more productive and effective in its work.
