Resident Electors:
In order to qualify as a resident elector of Bowen Island Municipality, you must meet all the following requirements on General Voting Day:
· you are or will be 18 years of age or older on General Voting Day;
· you are a Canadian citizen;
· you have been a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately preceding General Voting Day;
· you have been a resident of Bowen Island Municipality for at least 30 days immediately preceding General Voting Day;
· you are not disqualified by the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election or be otherwise disqualified by law.
Non-Resident Property Electors:
In order to qualify as a non-resident property elector of Bowen Island Municipality, you must meet all the following requirements on General Voting Day:
· you are not entitled to register as a resident elector of Bowen Island Municipality;
· you are or will be 18 years of age or older on General Voting Day;
· you are a Canadian citizen
· you have been a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately preceding General Voting Day;
· you have been a registered owner of real property within Bowen Island Municipality for at least 30 days immediately preceding General Voting Day;
· the only persons who are registered owners of the real property, either as joint tenants or tenants in common, are individuals who are not holding the property in trust for a corporation or another trust;
· you are not disqualified by the Local Government Act or any other enactment from voting in an election or be otherwise disqualified by law.
