In 2002, the Water Services Management Commission, a sub-committee of the Municipal Council was established to provide advice on any and all matters related to the water supply and distribution system within the municipality and under municipal jurisdiction.
In October 2009, Council adopted Bylaw No. 260, 2009, a bylaw to repeal the establishment of the Bowen Island Water Services Management Commission as it was determined that the Commission’s mandate duplicated that of the individual municipal water system Local Advisory Committees.
