Delegation is the term used to define the procedure of formally appearing before Council. This may include making a presentation, entering a request for action, registering a complaint, updating Council (on a project, idea or concept), or providing further information on an issue currently before Council for a decision.
The procedures for Delegations are outlined under Section 19 of the Bowen Island Municipality Procedure Bylaw No. 111, 2004.
Anyone wishing to be placed on an agenda to address Council must apply to the Corporate Officer, in writing, by completing the form below and faxing it to (604)947-0193 or emailing it to bim@bimbc.ca. The deadline for submission is 12:00 noon on the Monday that falls two weeks prior to the meeting in question. Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
